About Us

The Rhode Island Chapter supports people living with ALS and their loved ones through services and education at no charge. We leave no stone unturned in search for the cure of this progressive neurodegenerative disease. The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. The ALS Association covers all the bases - research, patient and community services, public education, and advocacy - in providing help and hope to those facing the disease. The National Office & Rhode Island Chapter operate under a shared mission: to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest. Both the National Office and the Rhode Island Chapter's accomplishments are made possible by the generosity of others.
